Former Kundirana member holds concert in La Salle Greenhills

Former Kundirana member Carlo Orosa is the next featured performer in La Salle Green Hills’ (LSGH) “SINGkwenta: The Concert Series,” celebrating 50 years of the La Sallian educational institution. The concert entitled “Carlo Orosa: It’s About Time!” will be held at the Bro. Rafael Donato FSC Center for the Performing Arts (formerly St. Joseph auditorium) on March 17, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

“SINGkwenta: The Concert Series,” features alumni, and the newest crop of talented students in shows that will not only showcase their skills but also highlight a trip down memory lane as the artists share their experiences during their stay at the institution. Orosa belonged to LSGH High School Batch 1983.

Orosa, now a seasoned musical theatre performer, concert director, and business manager of local mainstream artists Christian Bautista, Karylle, Sam Concepcion, among others, says, “I’ll be singing songs from the ‘70s and ‘80s in this concert. I’ll showcase my falsetto, which I’ve been doing since I started singing. Former Kundirana members will also join me on stage.”

Part of the show’s proceeds will go to the One La Salle Scholarship Fund, which sends poor but deserving students and out-of-school youth to study in La Salle.

Other LSGH alumni who have performed in the concert series were classical performer Dr. Ramon Acoymo, pop icons Rannie Raymundo and Dingdong Avanzado, composers and musical arrangers Louie Ocampo and Dingdong Eduque, and rock artists Juan Miguel Salvador and Charlie Ysmael. Ogie Alcasid and The Tux are also set to perform.

Carlo Orosa in “Its About Time!” is sponsored by Yamaha, Bench, Dunkin’ Donuts and Skechers. For ticket inquiries, you may call (632) 7273760 or 7212000 loc. 704, look for Vicky.
